Cycling holidays in Poland

Jelenia Góra with lots of km for both MTB, Enduro and road bicycles is a real cycling paradise!  I’m happy to assist you with preparations cause I’m passionate cyclist.  My last cycling trip was around Poland + best walking paths in Polish mountains so I can prepare a tailor-made itinerary for you depends on what kind of routes and terrain you’re interested in.

There is around 50 different routes for road bicycle and the same amount for MTB and Enduro. For all mountain bike fans…Maja Włoszczowska- 2008 and 2016 Olympic silver medalist in cross-country cycling comes from here and she’s training here too due to perfect cycling infrastructure.

We have many options for cycling rides around Jelenia Góra including but not limited to:

1)Jelenia Góra Citry Centre and Town Square and:

2)The valley of palaces and gardens, http://discoversilesia.pl/the-valley-of-palaces-and-garden/

3)Karpacz – one of the most beautiful town in the Giant Mountains. Visitors are mainly attracted by its picturesque location at the foot of the Giant Mountains and their highest peak, Śnieżka. The town offers tens of kilometers of cycling MTB trails. Often called mini-Alps for its similarity, Giant Mountains don’t have to be introduced to big mountain biking fans. Set in Karkonosze National Park, mountain bike trails and hiking paths run across Poland and Czech Republic’s borders and are set to the breath taking views of valleys, rivers, lakes and medieval castles. Rolling forest trails, technical single tracks, hardcore rocky downhills, and simple cross country paths for less skilled riders. It’s simply an undiscovered mountain biking gem and is a perfect place for MTB experience for all levels and tastes.

4)Szklarska Poręba- is a town in Jelenia Góra County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.  The first complex of 12 cycling routes around Szklarska Poreba with a total length of 278.3 km was put to use in 2001. This was the beginning…In order to meet the huge demand for this form of active recreation, the trails and coverage length expands on a yearly basis. The cycling routes run along the scenic roads of Karkonosze and the Jizera Mountains, only partially routed on roadways, so that after quickly leaving the city center (trails junction) one can immediately switch to the forest roads – mainly gravel ones. All the trails are looped, which means they can be freely combined with each other, and each of them will eventually lead you to the where you started from. Bridging the mountain trails on two wheels brings great satisfaction and unforgettable experience. Szklarska Poręba offer both easy routes for novice mountain bikers, as well as very difficult routes, raising the level of adrenaline to the maximum. Particularly beautiful bike paths have been set in the Jizera Mountains. When you drive on the plateau of the Jizera Mountains, while crossing the slope from the Black Mountains or the High Stone, all the time you will be accompanied by a beautiful panorama of the Karkonosze range, parallel to the trail.

5)Very close to Jelenia Góra: Singltrek pod Smrkiem, http://www.singltrekpodsmrkem.cz/en/

+ 10 fantastic routes (ranging from 40 to 130 km’s) through Karkonosze Mountain Range in Poland and surrounding Czech Republic for a road bicycle fans:

Don’t worry if you do not have a bike or do not want to carry bike with you. There are bike rentals in Jelenia Góra, Karpacz or Szklarska Poręba (mountain bikes).

PS. Generally I spent every single vacation on the saddle from 1 month cycling trip to 10 months (and 15000 km’s) cycling trip through Asia, New Zealand and Australia…so you are in good hands 🙂
